Aube (German Alben ) is a French commune with 268 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

Aube is located about 17 kilometers southeast of Metz at an altitude between 219 and 282 meters above sea level. The 5.31 km² large municipal area extends in the north into the valley of the French Nied .
