history

Bülow

Bülow was first mentioned in a document as Bulowe in 1262 , when Johann von Mecklenburg presented or lent the Closter Dobertin. two hooves at the village of Bulowe, which Hinricus von Rostede owned. In 1364 Bülow and Henning von Pressentin were named up die mollen tho Bulow, vormer schal Henningk beholden has drudden deil des dikes to Bulow ...

The place name could be derived from the Old Slavic word bul, the locator of the place as the place of Bul or Bula . But it is also possible to derive býl for weeds or bushes .

The Bülow estate was acquired by the von Barner family around 1573 through purchase and exchange and inherited by the von Barner family until 1945.

Runow

Runow originally belonged to Pressentin's. In 1353, Duke Johann von Mecklenburg lent the brothers Hennkino and Eghardo von Runow the village of Runow Runow villa , which Engelke von Pressentin had owned.

Runow is an old farming village, but not an estate like Bülow and Prestin. It belonged to the Prestin parish and had a small branch chapel. In the 17th century it was demolished because it was dilapidated. According to the records of the Prestin pastor Heinrich Rumbheld, after the Thirty Years' War in Runow there were only four living Runowers of the eight farmsteads . Around 1900 eight small farms with small farmers and fifteen houses with stables had settled in Runow. With the purchase and regulation of the chivalric estates Prestin, Wendorf with Sparow and Buerbeck by the German settlement company , Runow expanded. In 1909, for example, the so-called Speuss from the Prestin field with the old sheep farm of the Prestin estate was incorporated into the Runow village.
