British Academy Film Awards 1994

The 47th British Academy Film Awards ceremony took place on April 24, 1994. The film prizes of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) were awarded in 20 categories, plus four special or honorary award categories. The venue was the Theater Royal Drury Lane in London .

With seven prizes and 13 nominations, Steven Spielberg 's Schindler's List prevailed as the big favorite of the evening. Also, The Piano lived up three prizes at ten nominations of his favorite role. The big loser of the evening was what was left of the day , which came out empty-handed with six nominations.
