The three- cushion World Cup 1995/7 was the second BWA World Cup tournament in the tenth year of the three-cushion World Cup. The tournament took place from November 8th to 11th, 1995 in this discipline of carom billiards in Halle (Saale) in Saxony-Anhalt. It was the tenth three-cushion World Cup tournament in Germany.

history

The Swede Torbjörn Blomdahl won his 19th World Cup tournament in Halle an der Saale. In the final he defeated the Belgian Raymond Ceulemans with 3-0 sets without any major problems. The Dane Tonny Carlsen played a strong tournament. He managed in the quarterfinals to eliminate the Dutchman Dick Jaspers . Jaspers played a terrific average of 2,400. Carlsen only played 1,923, but he won the fifth set 15:10 in 13 shots. In the game for third place, he then achieved an average of 3,750. The result is not recognized as a world record, as the average can only be achieved in a match with three winning sets. The tournament went well for the German Falco Willenberger. After two victories he only had to admit defeat in the quarterfinals against record world champion Ceulemans. Sixth place was his best World Cup result.

The exact price money could not be determined from the documents. However, as in all BWA World Cup tournaments, it was at least 100,000 DM.

The whole tournament, with the exception of the small final, is played in the knockout system with three sets of 15 points each. (Press release by BWA.Ghent, January 8, 1994.)
