The Three-Cushion World Cup 1986/4 was the fourth World Cup tournament and the last in 1986 in the discipline of Karambolagebillards and took place from 12 to 14 December 1986 in Valkenburg (South Holland) instead.

history

The last three-cushion World Cup tournament of the year took place in the casino in the South Dutch city of Valkenburg and was the most spectacular. The excellently playing Japanese ex-world champion Nobuaki Kobayashi dominated the tournament and set all tournament records. As the first three-cushion player on an international level, he played a set in one recording against his compatriot Jun'ichi Komori . He also played an excellent general average with 1.643. So far only the multiple Belgian series world champion Raymond Ceulemans has played in these dimensions . For the third time in this World Cup season the final was called “Ceulemans versus Kobayashi”, of which Kobayashi won two.

Overall winner of the year was Raymond Ceulemans, who was in all four finals. In the final round he won with 68 points ahead of Kobayashi (55 points) and Komori (45 points).

The excellent tournament organization of the organizer was praised by all participants and officials. The tournament was very well attended with 2000 spectators and was broadcast nationwide in the media.
