The three- cushion world cup 1993/3 was the 3rd world cup tournament in the eighth year of the three- cushion world cup. It took place from November 12th to 14th, 1993 in this discipline of carom billiards in Berlin . It was the eighth three-cushion World Cup tournament in Berlin.

history

Traditionally, as in the seven previous tournaments in Berlin, 16 participants were played. The winner Torbjörn Blomdahl secured his 17th World Cup victory in the final against Marco Zanetti in 39 World Cup tournaments so far. The round of 16 started with a few surprises. Raymond Ceulemans failed as one of the seeded players against his young compatriot Frédéric Caudron . With Dielis, Bitalis and Komori, three other BWA professionals were eliminated. The most exciting game of the quarterfinals took place between Caudron and the spa qualifier Ryūji Umeda. Caudron was already leading 2-0 sets. Then Umeda fought him down with 15:14, 15:13 and 15:13 and moved into the semi-finals for the first time, where he was defeated by Zanetti with 1: 3 sets. In the second semi-final Blomdahl retaliated for the 3-0 defeat against Semih Saygıner in Istanbul. With the victory in the small final, however, the Turk was able to secure a place on the podium for the first time.

The exact price money could not be determined from the documents. However, as in all BWA World Cup tournaments, it was at least 100,000 DM.
