Although Hendricks played a good season in 1974, he managed five interceptions , among other things , the Packers could not move into the play-offs . Hendricks signed after a season in Green Bay a contract with one of the top teams in the NFL, the Oakland Raiders supervised by John Madden , after an engagement in a newly founded competitive league of the NFL had not come about due to their bankruptcy .

In 1976 Hendricks won his second Super Bowl together with his new team. In the regular season , the Oakland team had won 13 out of 14 games. Opponents in the divisional play-off game were the New England Patriots , who could be defeated with 24:21.
