Bretagne-de-Marsan ( Occitan : Bretanha de Marsan ) is a commune with 1,544 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mont-de-Marsan and the canton of Mont-de-Marsan-2 (until 2015: canton of Mont-de-Marsan-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Bretons .
geography
Bretagne-de-Marsan is located about five kilometers south-southeast of the city center of Mont-de-Marsan in the Landes de Gascogne forests . The municipality is located in the catchment area of the Adour River . One of its tributaries, the Ruisseau du Bos , here also called Ruisseau des Longs , crosses the municipality and is dammed into a lake. Bretagne-de-Marsan is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Mont-de-Marsan in the north, Mazerolles in the northeast, Bascons in the east, Saint-Maurice-sur-Adour in the south, Benquet in the west and Saint-Pierre-du-Mont in the northwest.
