Hagetmau is a French municipality with 4690 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of land in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Mont-de-Marsan and the canton of Chalosse Tursan .
geography
The municipality is located around 45 kilometers northwest of Pau in the Chalosse countryside . Neighboring communities are:
- Sainte-Colombe in the northeast,
- Serres-Gaston and Samadet in the west,
- Monségur in the southeast,
- Lacrabe and Labastide-Chalosse in the south,
- Momuy in the southwest,
- Saint-Cricq-Chalosse and Serreslous-et-Arribans to the west and
- Horsarrieu to the northwest.
The city is crossed by the river Louts , the reservoir Lac d'Agès to the southeast is only partially in its own municipality.
