Gastes is about 71 kilometers northwest of Mont-de-Marsan in the Pays de Born on the coast of the Bay of Biscay . Lake Gastes (also: Étang de Biscarrosse et de Parentis ) is located in the municipality . Gastes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Biscarrosse in the north, Parentis-en-Born in the east and northeast, and Sainte-Eulalie-en-Born in the south.
