Attractions

  • Parish Church of Sainte-Catherine . It was built around 1900 and shows numerous pointed arches in its architecture and as ornaments . The entrance portal at the foot of the bell tower is no exception. The inset wooden door adapts to the shape of the pointed arch. Latin crosses are engraved on its two wings, with the branches gradually expanding outwards. The massive square bell tower is two-story. A rose window without glass is carved into the stone between the entrance portal and its sound arcade .
  • Arena. Like many villages in the Landes, Bats also has an arena to host a Course Landaise , a traditional, bloodless game with wild bulls, or other public events. The arena, built in the 1970s, is equipped with two grandstands opposite one another . A surrounding wall limits the playing area. The seating capacity can be designed relatively flexibly, as the permanent components are small in size and mobile rows of seats can be added depending on the number of visitors.
