Parish Church of Saint Savin
It was built in 1868, the interior of the church was renovated in 2001. Your nave has three naves . Ogival window let the light fall in the nave, alternate outside with buttresses of building stones . There are outbuildings on both sides of the semicircular choir . To the west, the bell tower rises from the building, which is equipped with a slate- covered helmet . The entrance is shaped like a pointed arch. The first floor of the tower shows lancets with a three-pass and a tower clock. The upper storey has ogival twin windows on each side.
Notre-Dame-du-Rugby chapel
The origins of the chapel are unclear. In 1964, a tragic car accident left the region in mourning, in which three rugby players from Dax were killed. The pastor Michel Devert, who knew some of the players, decided to dedicate the old, in poor condition, chapel to rugby. In order to collect the money for the repair, games were organized between various renowned clubs. On July 16, 1967, the Bishop of Aire and Dax was able to open the chapel and celebrate the first of the monthly masses . An ogival entrance portal is located on the south side of the building. To the right of the entrance is a statue in a niche under a keel arch . At the southwest corner of the chapel is a bell gable with a recess for the bell made of regular masonry bond. An ogival niche houses a statue of the Virgin Mary at its foot. The church is covered with a gable roof made of tiles.
Menhir of Guillay
It is the most famous menhir in the department, especially since it was erected in 1967. This year it was found during a clearing on the edge of Route départementale 11 in the Guillay district in the extreme south of the municipality. In order to ensure some protection of the monument, the archaeologist Robert Arambourou decided to erect the megalith. During this process, engravings were discovered that came to light on the side on which the stone block had previously been in the earth. The upper part that was broken off earlier was put back on. It is unclear whether the engravings were made when the stone block was originally erected or at a later date at the beginning of the Bronze Age . The megalith is 3.30 m high, 2.30 m wide and 1 m thick. Its weight is estimated at 20 tons. stone blocks with engravings are rarely found in Aquitaine. For this reason, it has been classified as a Monument historique since March 28, 1978 . The engravings are located next to the edge and 50 cm below the crown. The stone block is set up so that it faces south in order to offer the greatest possible protection from the elements. The original orientation is unknown. Next to the upper edge is a schematic animal with horns applied to a previously smoothed surface. A line runs in front of the animal that could be identified as a deer or cattle. Underneath, a circular motif can be seen that includes a cross, with a slanted line to the left. In general, the engravings of Guillay's megaliths reflect an iconography that is widespread across much of Western Europe.
