Parish Church of Saint-Maurice
The church was built in the 16th century in the Flamboyant Gothic style . It has a three-walled, plastered apse , which is reinforced by four buttresses made of yellow-brown shell limestone sandstone. The nave is also with cement plastered and shows four buttresses on the north side with bevelled cornice of sandstone . On this side there is a rectangular, now walled up former entrance with a frame of white stones and a keel arch on the horizontal. The windows between the buttresses are pointed arched. On the south side, a former fourth buttress has been demolished to make room for a municipal building that was attached to the nave. At the level of the transept there is a side chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary . Like the three naves, it is equipped with a ribbed vault . The bell tower with a dome and ogival window openings rises at the southwest corner of the building . In the niche between the bell tower and the western wall of the nave there is a vestibule with a pent roof . A door with a segment arch allows entry into the church.
Lobit Castle
The castle was built at the end of the 18th century during the French Revolution. An avenue of old oaks from different centuries leads to the castle, which has an elegant appearance with two side towers. The building was restored in 1850 and certainly during the 20th century. It is now privately owned and not open to the public.
Saint Maurice Castle
The estate is an agricultural holding on an area of 200 hectares. History dates back to the 13th century when the monks of Saint-Sever ordered it. They built a dam on the Adour and a network of canals to irrigate the land. The main channels are still in use today. An alley of oak leads to the main building, which is surrounded by gardens and a park. It was built in the 19th century on the site of a 12th-century residence of the Viscounts of Béarn that was burned down during the French Revolution . The renovated building now offers guest rooms.
