DFB Cup 2020/21

The DFB-Pokal 2021/22 is the 79th edition of the men's soccer cup competition. The final is expected to take place on May 21, 2022, as has been customary since 1985, in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

The cup winner will be given a direct starting place in the group stage of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League . If the cup winner has already qualified for an international starting place via the league, the sixth-placed Bundesliga 2021/22 will move from the play-offs of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League into the group stage of the Europa League, and the seventh will receive the play-offs that have become available. 1st main round

The games of the first main round were drawn on July 4, 2021. The ARD sports show broadcast the draw. As Losfee the former acted footballer and ARD -expert Thomas Broich . Television broadcasts

As in the previous season, all DFB Cup games will be broadcast live on the pay-TV channel Sky Deutschland . Nine matches of the competition will be freely received in the first of the ARD be seen, four other top games to the quarter-finals are from Sport1 transmitted.
