The three- cushion world cup 1992/4 was the 4th world cup tournament in the seventh year of the three-cushion world cup. It took place from 20 to 22 November 1992 in this discipline of carom billiards in Orléans in the Center-Val de Loire region . It was the first three-cushion World Cup tournament in Orléans, France.

history

The record world champion Raymond Ceulemans won his seventh World Cup in Orléans. This brought him back to second place in the battle for the overall World Cup. The 55-year-old Belgian dominated the tournament and achieved all tournament bests. There were also some surprises again. The young Spaniard Daniel Sánchez in particular showed his great talent once again. In the last sixteen he defeated Sang Chun Lee, who was second in the overall World Cup up to that point . The Japanese Jun'ichi Komori made it to the final after beating Torbjörn Blomdahl, who was the leader in the World Cup, in the semi-final . For the new season it will be difficult to qualify for the first eight places, which guarantee a fixed starting place for all tournaments. The tournament in Orléans showed an enormous crowd. Every free seat and standing space was used. Nevertheless, the police had to turn away many billiards enthusiasts for security reasons.

The exact price money could not be determined from the documents. However, as in all BWA World Cup tournaments, it was at least 100,000 DM.
