The Gardens of Stone National Park (English Gardens of Stone National Park ) is a 151 km² national park in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales , Australia .

The park is located about 160 km northwest of Sydney and 30 km north of Lithgow in close proximity to the Wollemi National Park to the east . It is located in the Blue Mountain Plateau within the geological region of the Sydney Basin . The here due to sedimentation resulting sand and limestone is crossed here by rivers that formed over millions of years, the gorges and canyons and typical at the edges of the park, dome-shaped rock formations ( pagodas ) gave rise.

The different habitats, favored by the constant availability of water, are home to a multitude of plants and animals. Along the watercourses in eucalyptus and banksia forests live honey-eaters and warblers , as well as koalas and quolls . Brush-tailed rock kangaroos inhabit the numerous caves in the sandstone rocks below the edge of the breakoff .

There are no designated campsites in the park, but bush camping is permitted in most of the park.
