Legends: Live at Montreux 1997 is a live recorded album and DVD from the Legends: Live at Montreux concert series of the Montreux Jazz Festival . The DVD was released on September 3, 2005. The CD and Blu-Ray formats were released on September 30, 2008.
A mixture of instrumental and vocal pieces was performed. Some blues pieces and a new acoustic version of the hit Layla were also presented. Furthermore, the Eric Clapton Gold Leaf Stratocaster was used for the first time.

The music website Allmusic rated the recordings with two stars out of five. Allmusic critic Joe Viglione described the album as quite boring and without major climaxes and explosions , but overall as a successful and musically good recording.
