Primeira Liga 2011/12

The Primeira Liga 2012/13 was the 79th season of the top Portuguese division in men's football . The season began in mid-August 2012 and ended on May 19, 2013 with the 30th matchday. At the beginning of May 2012, the professional league LPFP decided to increase to 18 clubs for the 2012/13 season. This change was rejected by the national association (FPF), however, with reference to the poor economic situation in the country.
