Steven "Steve" Archibald (born September 27, 1956 in Glasgow ) is a former Scottish football player and coach . He played in the storm . Steve Archibald played 27 times for the Scottish national soccer team , took part with her in the soccer world championships 1982 (3 appearances / 1 goal) and 1986 (1 employment). He scored four goals for the national team between 1980 and 1986.

Player career

He began his career in 1974 with FC Clyde , which he left in 1977 for FC Aberdeen . Between 1980 and 1984 he played for Tottenham Hotspur . With the Spurs he won the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982 and the UEFA Cup in 1984. For the 1984/85 season, he moved to FC Barcelona , where he was one of the foreign stars alongside Gary Lineker and Mark Hughes . In 1987 he moved to Blackburn Rovers on loan for a year . In 1988 he returned to his homeland and played for Hibernian Edinburgh for two years . In 1990 Espanyol Barcelona signed him . There he was not used, which caused him to leave the club. He played for FC St. Mirren for a year . In 1992 he moved to his original club, FC Clyde. But there it was only used twice. In the same year he moved to Fulham FC . But there he was only given one chance. He later played for various Scottish, English and Irish clubs. In 1994 he changed clubs for the last time: this time the station was called FC East Fife . There he ended his career in 1996 and took over the coaching post in the same club for two years. In 2000 he bought into Airdrieonians FC , brought some players with him and coached the team until he left the club in March 2001. Today he works as a businessman and lives in Spain .
