The Ulemannssiepen stream of the same name flows past Ulemannssiepen , which shortly afterwards flows into the Dörpe stream .

The place was probably mentioned in a document for the first time in 1532 : " Geradt , his housewife and mother tom Sypen are listed in a list of residents". The localization is uncertain, however, another possible interpretation is Höhsiepen . Spelling of the first mention : tom Sypen .
