Buchholz is a village in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany .
Location and description
Buchholz is located in the north of Hückeswagen on the federal road 483 (B483) between Hückeswagen and Linde . Other neighboring towns are desert , Funkenhausen , Frohnhausen and Mickenhagen . A source brook of the Frohnhauser Bach rises south of Buchholz.
history
In 1484 the place was mentioned for the first time in church accounts. Spelling of the first mention: tom Bockholt . In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen .
In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, three houses with 37 inhabitants are given. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had three houses with 25 inhabitants, in 1905 three houses and 24 inhabitants.
