Frohnhausen is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Frohnhausen is located near the main town of Hückeswagen north of the center. Other neighboring towns are desert , Böckel , Bergerhof , Hummeltenberg and Pixberg . The Hofschaft can be reached from the K11 district road between the main town and Pixberg. The Frohnhauser Bach flows southeast of the Hofschaft.

history

In 1407 the place was first mentioned in a deed of the renunciation of Stael v. Holstein mentioned on the Bergische Erbdrosten- und Erbhofmeisteramt . Spelling of the first mention: Vronen Huis The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows the farm as Frohnhusen . In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen .

In 1815/16 there were 22 residents in the village. In 1832 Frohnhausen belonged under the name Fronhausen to the Herdingsfeld Honschaft , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 31 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, two houses with 16 inhabitants are given. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had three houses with 18 inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and 13 inhabitants.
