Kobeshofen is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).

Location and description

Kobeshofen is located in southern Hückeswagen on the K5 district road. One of the three large commercial and industrial areas of Hückeswagen, which also bears the name Kobeshofen, is located near the village. The Sohlbach limits the town and the industrial area to the south.

history

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1484 in church accounts. The spelling of the first mention is: (Hannes) Koyp . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a courtyard and describes this courtyard as Kopshusen .

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 there were 33 people living in the village. In 1832 Kobeshofen belonged to the Berghauser Honschaft , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had six residential buildings and nine agricultural buildings at the time. At that time 44 people lived in the place, nine Catholic and 35 Protestant faith.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province , six houses with 60 residents are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had seven houses with 63 inhabitants, in 1905 seven houses and 67 inhabitants.
