Käfernberg is a village in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
Käfernberg is located in the eastern Hückeswagen on the eastern bank of a branch of the Bevertalsperre . Neighboring towns are the directly adjacent Wefelsen , Kleinberghausen , Großberghausen , Mickenhagen , Busche and Höhe, across the dam . When the dam was built, Fröhlenhausen , Rasselstein , Gillesbever and Rotterdam were lost .
The place is on the district road K11, which ends here due to the Bevertalsperre.
history
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1532: " Ortmann and 4 other residents up dem Keverenberg " are mentioned in a list of residents. Spelling of the first mention: Keverenberg . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a farm and names this farm Kebernberg .
In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 32 people lived in the village. In 1832 Käfernberg belonged to the Berghauser Honschaft , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings and five agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 37 residents lived in the village, six of them Catholic and 31 Protestant.
In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland , four houses with 20 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had four houses with 28 inhabitants, in 1905 four houses and 29 inhabitants.
