Niederbeck is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Niederbeck is in northern Hückeswagen near Radevormwald . Neighboring towns are Oberbeck , Mittelbeck , Herweg , Vormwald and Neuenherweg . The village can be reached via an access road that branches off from the K11 district road between Neuenherweg and Kormannshausen .

The Niederbeck stream of the same name , a tributary of the Leiverbach, rises near the Hofschaft . The confluence of the Neuenherweger Bach and the Leiverbach is located on the district road near Niederbeck .

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1487 : "Kerstge zo der Beck" is listed in the application (loan list) for Duke Wilhelm III. from mountain . Spelling of the first mention: Beck . In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen .
