Kurzfeld is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).

Location and description

Kurzfeld is located in western Hückeswagen on the border with Wermelskirchen near Scheideweg .

Other neighboring towns are Strucksfeld , Maisdörpe , Stoote , Dreibäum , Dörpfelderhöhe and Dörpfeld . The place can be reached from a spur road from the L101 road between Scheideweg and Dreibäumen.

One of the two source streams of the Strucksfelder Bach , a tributary of the Kleine Dhünn Bach , rises in the village .

history

In 1484 the place was mentioned for the first time in church accounts. Spelling of the first mention : Kuytzfelde / Kutzhove .

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 there were 27 people living in the village. In 1832 Kurzfeld belonged to the Grand Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor's office . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had four residential buildings and eight agricultural buildings at that time. At that time 32 people lived in the place, three Catholic and 29 Protestant faith.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province , four houses with 43 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had four houses with 25 inhabitants, in 1905 four houses and 30 inhabitants.
