Kleinkatern is a farm in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).
Location and transport links
Kleinkatern is located in the southwest of Hückeswagen near Straßweg . Other neighboring towns are Großkatern , Wickesberg , Bochen , Strasbourg and Purd . The place can be reached via a strait from the district road K14 between Straßweg and Wickesberg, which also connects big cats.
Kleinkatern is located in the catchment area of the Purder Bach , which flows into the Great Dhünntalsperre after the confluence with the Große Dhünn brook .

In 1481 the place was mentioned for the first time in a list of donations for the Marien Altar of the Hückeswagen church. Spelling of the first mention : Katerdell .
In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 14 people lived in the village. In 1832, Kleinkatern belonged to the Great Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings and five agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 23 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province , three houses with 17 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had three houses with 22 inhabitants, in 1905 three houses and 15 inhabitants.
