Maisdörpe is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and transport links

Maisdörpe is located in the southwest of Hückeswagen on the border with Remscheid and Wermelskirchen near Scheideweg . Other neighboring towns are Oberdorp , Niederdorp , Stoote and Remscheid-Bornbach. The village can be reached via a branch path from the state road 101 between Scheideweg and Dreibäumen .

The Maisdörpe stream of the same name rises in the village , a tributary of the Dörpe stream , which later flows into the Wuppertal dam. Maisdörpe surrounds the area of ​​the Dreibäum golf course on three sides.

In 1481 the place was mentioned for the first time in the list of donations for the Marienaltar of the Hückeswagen church. Spelling of the first mention : Mey tor Durppe .

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 seven people lived in the village. In 1832 Maisdörpe belonged to the Great Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had two residential buildings and four agricultural buildings at the time.
