Strasbourg is located in the southwest of Hückeswagen on the L68 state road near Straßweg . Other neighboring towns are Kotthausen , Bockhacken , Schückhausen and Wickesberg .

The place lies on the watershed between the catchment areas of the Kleine Dhünn and the Purder Bach .

In 1815/16 six people lived in the village. In 1832, Strasbourg belonged to the Grand Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor .
