Vogelsholl is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergisches Kreis , administrative district of Cologne , in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).

Location and transport links

Vogelsholl is located in the southwest of Hückeswagen on the border with Wipperfürth . Neighboring towns are Kaisersbusch , Arnsberg and Isenburg . The place can be reached via a connecting road that  branches off from Kreisstraße 5 at Altenholte and leads to federal road 506 at Wipperfürth- Schniffelshöh .

The Hofschaft lies in the headwaters of the Harthbach , which feeds the Great Dhünntalsperre after the confluence with the Große Dhünn brook .

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1532 : " Henssgen and five other residents in Foegelsholl are mentioned in a list of residents". Spelling of the first mention : Foegelsholl .

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . 17 inhabitants lived in the village in 1815/16. In 1832 Vogelsholl belonged to the Great Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the administrative district of Düsseldorf , had two residential buildings and two agricultural buildings at that time. At that time there were seven people living in the village, four Catholic and three Protestant.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province , three houses with 27 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had three houses with 22 inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and 12 inhabitants.
