Busenbach is a village in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Busenbach is located in the eastern part of Hückeswagen on the border with Remscheid near the larger district of Wiehagen . The disused railway line between Remscheid- Bergisch Born and Marie Heath ( Course book route KBS412) separates Wiehhagen of Busenbach.

Other neighboring towns of the town, which is connected via a small access road, are Höhsiepen , Busenberg , Braßhagen and Därersteeg . The Busenbach , which rises in Wiehagen, flows through the village to Dörpe .

The place became known beyond local borders through the renowned Landgasthof Busenbacher Hof, which is of no great importance today. There is an extensive allotment garden near Busenbach.

In 1481 the place was mentioned for the first time in a list of donations for the Marien Altar of the Hückeswagen church. Spelling of the first mention : Busenbich .

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen . In 1815/16 there were 29 people living in the village. In 1832, Busenbach belonged to the Great Honorship , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor's office . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had six residential buildings and seven agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 33 residents lived in the place, 19 Catholic and 14 Protestant faith.

In the parish dictionary for the Rhineland province , six houses with 56 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had five houses with 32 inhabitants, in 1905 five houses and 40 inhabitants.
