geography
It borders on Cadillac to the north, Loupiac to the east, Preignac to the southeast, Pujols-sur-Ciron to the southwest, Illats to the west and Cérons to the northwest .
Barsac is passed by the Ciron , which flows into the Garonne on its left.
The train station of Barsac is located on the Bordeaux-Sète railway of the SNCF .

wine growing
Barsac has a wine-growing area of around 600 hectares, in which, similar to the neighboring Sauternes, mainly sweet white wines are produced.
