It emerges from it that the place was part of the honor of saints in the parish of Overath at that time .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1817 as Buschhofen . The Prussian first recording from 1845 shows the residential area under the name Buschhoven . From the Prussian new admission of 1892, the place is regularly recorded as Buschhoven on measuring table sheets .

In 1822, 43 people lived in the place categorized as a courtyard and designated Buschhofen , which after the collapse of the Napoleonic administration and its replacement belonged to the Overath mayor in the Mülheim am Rhein district . For the year 1830 50 inhabitants are given for the place called Buschhofen . The place categorized as a hamlet and designated Buschhoven according to the overview of the government district of Cologne in 1845 had eleven residential buildings with 63 inhabitants, all of them Catholic denominations.

The list of residents and cattle from 1848, which among other things was used to collect taxes, includes 45 residents in Buschhoven - including 21 children - and names the professions and names of the heads of household. The five Ackerer were named accordingly: Johann Büscher, Peter Lüdorf, Anton Schwamborn, Adolph Westermann and Peter Zincius. Johann Herkenrath and Johann Schiffmann were registered as day laborers , and Maria Gerdrud Müller, over 66 years old, was registered as unemployed and poor . Two foster children lived in the family of Adolph Wester.
