Icon is a compilation album by British rock musician Eric Clapton and was released on April 5, 2011 as Icon 1 (1-CD set) and Icon 2 (2-CD set) on the Polydor Records label .
The album includes both Clapton's works as a solo artist and tracks he recorded with the groups Cream and Derek and the Dominos .

Reception and chart successes
Allmusic critic Steve Leggett finds this compilation to be a very good representation of Clapton's life and musical career. Finally, he awarded 3.5 of the 5 possible rating points for the album. Ryan Book of The Music Times thinks the compilation is too specific and that those who don't want to be lost in Clapton's career in over 50 years should try The Cream of Clapton .
The compilation album was number 114 on the Billboard 200 and remained in the US album charts for a total of two weeks.
