The Internazionali BNL d'Italia 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place in Rome from May 12th to 19th, 2013 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played on clay court. This season it was the fifth of nine tournaments in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category .

Last year's individual winner, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal , was able to defend his title and celebrated his sixth tournament win this year. In the final, he clearly defeated the Swiss Roger Federer in two sets with 6: 1 and 6: 3. With this, Nadal continued his series, in which he was in the finals of every tournament that has taken part this year. Only at his first tournament that year in Viña del Mar and at the Monte-Carlo Masters did he leave the field as a loser. For Nadal it was also his seventh title in Rome. He won so far in the years 2005 to 2007, 2009-10 and 2012-13. In doubles, the pairing Marcel Granollers and Marc López were the defending champions, but they were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The American brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won the final in straight sets against the Indian duo Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna . For the brothers, this was the third success in the sixth final in Rome. In the current year this was the sixth title on the ATP World Tour , as well as the 88th joint title in their career.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each received a bye into the second round.
