Serval is commune with 52 inhabitants (as at 1st January 2017) in the Aisne department in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons and the canton of Fère-en-Tardenois .
The surrounding villages are Longueval-Barbonval in the north-west, Révillon in the north, Merval in the east and Blanzy-lès-Fismes in the south. Only the latter is still an independent community; the others belong as Communes déléguées to the Commune nouvelle Les Septvallons .
