The motorway triangles Hanover-North (on the A 7) and Hanover-West (on the A 2) are the beginning and end of the A 352. These motorway triangles are designed as forks so that only traffic from Hamburg from the A 7 can drive onto the A 352 and only traffic in the direction of Hamburg can drive from the A 352 onto the A 7; The same applies to the Hanover-West motorway triangle for traffic to and from Dortmund (A 2). Shortly after the two motorway triangles, however, there are junction points on the A 7 and A 2 where you can change direction (Mellendorf on the A 7 or Hannover-Herrenhausen on the A 2).

The A 352 relieves the Hannover-Ost (A 2 / A 7) motorway junction in particular by diverting traffic between north and west, shortening around seven kilometers in the process. The exit on the A 2 is immediately behind the Hannover-Herrenhausen junction, so that it also connects the Hanover West Schnellweg and thus the B 6 directly to the A 7 north.
