Cassagnoles ( Occitan : Cassinhòlas ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 99 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (until 2015: canton of Olonzac ). The inhabitants are called Cassagnolais .

location

Cassagnoles is located in the Minervois countryside about 28 kilometers northeast of Carcassonne . The Cesse rises here . Cassagnoles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lacabarède in the north, Ferrals-les-Montagnes in the east and north-east, La Livinière in the south-east, Félines-Minervois in the south and south-west and Lespinassière in the west and north-west. The municipality is part of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park .
