Montesquieu ( Occitan : Montesquiu ) is a southern French municipality with 70 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Cazouls-lès-Béziers (until 2015: canton of Roujan ). The inhabitants are called Montesquivains .

location

Montesquieu is located about 24 kilometers north-northeast of Béziers . Montesquieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pézènes-les-Mines in the north and north-west, Valmascle in the north-east, Vailhan in the east, Gabian in the south, Roquessels in the west and south-west and Fos in the west.
