Laurens ( Occitan: Laurenç ) is a French commune with 1,702 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Cazouls-lès-Béziers (until 2015: canton of Murviel-lès-Béziers ).
geography
Laurens is about 15 kilometers north of Béziers on the Libron . Laurens is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Faugères in the north, Roquessels in the northeast, Fouzilhon in the east and southeast, Magalas in the south, Autignac in the southwest, Cabrerolles in the west and northwest and Caussiniojouls in the northwest.
