New Zealand was the first OFC member to play against Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Ghana, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Norway, Samoa, South Korea, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) and the USA, and the only OFC member to date against Bulgaria, Cameroon and Colombia , Northern Ireland, Switzerland, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and Wales. New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga and Vanuatu suffered their biggest defeats against New Zealand. New Zealand were the first FIFA-recognized opponents for Australia and Samoa.
