This list contains all the matches of the Australia women's national soccer team . All matches recognized by FIFA as official international matches are listed, as are matches included in the statistics of the Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation . The games at the 1975 Asian Cup are not taken into account by the Australian Association either. He mentions the "World Women's Invitational Tournament" in Taiwan in 1978 as the first appearance of an Australian national team for women, with Australia sending the only national team.

As an OFC member, Australia was the first to play against American Samoa, Argentina, Brazil, China, England, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Mexico, North Korea, Russia, Scotland, Singapore and Thailand and as the only OFC member so far against Belgium, Estonia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Hungary. American Samoa (in their first international match), the Cook Islands and Fiji suffered their biggest defeats against Australia. Australia were the first FIFA-recognized opponents for Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

Australia became the first AFC member to play against Equatorial Guinea and Haiti after joining the AFC.
