Millery is a French commune in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lyon and is part of the canton of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon . The inhabitants are called Millerots . Millery has 4,331 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

geography

Millery is about 15 kilometers south-southwest of Lyon between the Garon , which marks the western border , and the Rhone , which marks the eastern border of the municipality. Millery is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Charly in the north, Vernaison in the northeast, Sérézin-du-Rhône in the east, Ternay in the southeast, Grigny in the south, Montagny in the west and Vourles in the northwest.

Millery is part of the Coteaux du Lyonnais wine region .
