The Opel Crossland X is a crossover from the German car manufacturer Opel , which is built in Figueruelas in Spain . The vehicle was presented in Berlin on February 1, 2017 , and had its public premiere at the 87th Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. The Crossland X has been available for order since March 13, 2017 and prices have been available since June 24, 2017 16,850 euros from dealers.
Cooperation with PSA
As early as December 2012, it became known that in addition to a small car and a van, the successor to the Opel Meriva B was being developed in cooperation with the PSA Group . A year later it was announced that the cooperation in the small car segment would be discontinued, instead the cooperation would be expanded to light commercial vehicles in the small car segment. The Crossland X is the first vehicle that comes onto the market as a result of this cooperation. The Peugeot 2008 II and the second generation of the Citroën C3 Aircross are the counterparts of the Crossland X from the PSA Group. With the Opel Grandland X , another Opel model from the cooperation with PSA was launched in October 2017. This is based on the EMP2 platform, on which the second-generation Peugeot 3008 launched in 2016 and the DS7 Crossback presented at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show are based.
Furnishing
In contrast to the slightly larger Opel Mokka X , the Crossland X is not offered with all-wheel drive . Instead, the Crossland X, which is supposed to be a bit more practical as the successor to the Meriva B, has a three-part rear seat that can be moved lengthways by 150 mm and completely folded down.
Technical specifications
The Crossland X is offered with the 1.2-liter petrol engines and 1.6-liter diesel engines already known from the Peugeot 208 , which cover a power range from 60 kW (81 hp) to 96 kW (130 hp). These are available with five- and six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
