Joseph Albert "Trey" Hollingsworth III (born September 12, 1983 in Clinton , Tennessee ) is an American politician . Since January 3, 2017, he has represented the state of Indiana in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Trey Hollingsworth graduated from Webb School in Knoxville and then studied at the University of Pennsylvania belonging School Wharton . He was the founder of Hollingsworth Capital Partners , of which he is still a member, and is a partner in the Aluminum Remanufacturing Operation . He has lived in Jeffersonville since 2015 .

Politically, Hollingsworth joined the Republican Party . In the 2016 congressional elections , he was elected to the US House of Representatives in the ninth constituency of Indiana in Washington, DC , where he succeeded Todd Young , who moved to the US Senate , on January 3, 2017 .
