Albert R. Hall

Albert Richardson Hall (born August 27, 1884 in West Baden Springs , Orange County , Indiana , †  November 29, 1969 in Marion , Indiana) was an American politician . Between 1925 and 1931 he represented the state of Indiana in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Albert Hall attended public schools in his home country including Paoli High School . He then studied at Indiana Central Business College in Indianapolis until 1906 and then at Earlham College in Richmond until 1912 . After completing his training, Hall himself began a career in school service. Until 1925 he was initially active as a teacher and from 1913 as a school councilor in various positions in Indiana.

Politically, Hall was a member of the Republican Party . In the congressional election of 1924 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the eleventh constituency of Indiana , where he succeeded Samuel E. Cook on March 4, 1925 . After two re-elections, he was able to complete three legislative terms in Congress by March 3, 1931 . These had been shaped by the events of the Great Depression since 1929 .

In 1930, Hall was not re-elected; In 1934 a new candidacy failed. Between 1932 and 1942 he worked in the private printing trade. He was also CFO of Driveway Contractors Inc. Hall also got into the real estate business. He was also the owner of a newspaper. Since 1961 he has been running a hotel in Marion. He also died in this city on November 29, 1969.
