Since there were initially no districts in the state of Lippe , the offices in Lippe formed the upper administrative level directly below the state administration.

Municipalities

According to the municipal constitution of March 2, 1841, a distinction was made between village communities and administrative communities (also called offices ) in the state of Lippe . In addition to the residents of the village communities, the population of the municipalities also included those of the domains and noble estates. The cities Barntrup , Blomberg , Detmold , horn , location , Lemgo and Salzuflen and the spots Schwalenberg were amt free.

Administrative offices

The municipalities were amalgamated to form administrative offices on July 23, 1879. These were the administrative offices of Blomberg , Brake , Detmold , Lipperode-Cappel and Schötmar .

District offices

By the Lippe Municipal Constitutional Law of December 1, 1927, four district offices were formed with effect from April 1, 1928. While the district offices of Blomberg , Brake and Schötmar emerged from the previous administrative offices, the previous administrative offices of Detmold and Lipperode-Cappel were merged into one district office in Detmold .

Dissolution of the office

The Detmold-Land office was dissolved with effect from January 1, 1970. The city of Detmold was chosen as his legal successor . The legal basis is § 3 of the law on the reorganization of the Detmold district (Detmold Law) , which was passed on December 2, 1969 by the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament . Schmedissen was the only municipality to be incorporated into Bad Meinberg-Horn (now Horn-Bad-Meinberg) in accordance with Section 5 of the Act .

Office Lügde

The two communities Harzberg and Lügde belonged to the Westphalian office of Lügde , at times also referred to as the office of Lügde-Harzberg and the office of Harzberg . It was dissolved with effect from January 1, 1970. The city of Lügde was designated as his legal successor. The legal basis is § 7 of the law on the reorganization of the Detmold district (Detmold law).
