Böckel is a court in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Böckel is located in the north of Hückeswagen, east of the K11 district road. Neighboring places are desert , Frohnhausen , Pixberg , Hummeltenberg , Pixbergermühle , Kormannshausen and Bergerhof .

history

In 1490 the place was mentioned for the first time in church accounts. Spelling of the first mention: Bokel . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows the farm as Böckel . In the 18th century the place belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen .

In 1815/16 14 people lived in the village. In 1832 Böckel belonged to the Herdingsfeld Honschaft , which was part of the Hückeswagen external citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayor . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the administrative district of Düsseldorf , had a residential house and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, nine people lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
