The Estoril Open 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 14th to 20th, 2008 in Oeiras . It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played outdoors on sand. In the same week were in Houston , the US Men's Clay Court Championships and in Valencia the Open de Tenis Comunidad Valenciana played exactly like the Estoril Open for the category International Series included.

Last year's winner in the individual was Novak Đoković , who no longer took part in the tournament this year. In the final, Roger Federer benefited from a task by Nikolai Dawydenko with a score of 7: 6 5 , 1: 2. The defending champion in doubles was the pairing of Marcelo Melo and André Sá . Only Melo took part again and was eliminated in the quarterfinals. In the final, the South Africans Jeff Coetzee and Wesley Moodie won against Jamie Murray and Kevin Ullyett 6: 2, 4: 6, [10: 8].

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize money was 349,000 euros, the total financial liabilities were 370,000 euros.

The qualification took place from April 12-14, 2008. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
