List of European men's handball championships
The list of men's handball European Cup winners includes all European handball clubs that have so far played at least one of the four European Cup competitions organized by the EHF or, until their founding, by the IHF since 1956 - the EHF Champions League (until 1993 European Cup for National Champions), won the European Cup Winners' Cup (combined with the EHF Cup in 2012/13), the EHF Cup or the EHF Challenge Cup (up to 2000 Euro City Cup ). The IHF Gold Cup, which is no longer held, or the EHF Champions Trophy , also known as the Club European Championship, as this was a competition comparable to a Supercup, are not included in this list . All winners are listed in the first list. Another list gives all clubs with the respective total number of wins and the number of wins in the individual tournaments, and a third list shows the country ratings.
The most victories in the European Cup were achieved by FC Barcelona with fifteen and VfL Gummersbach with eleven. To date, only SG Flensburg-Handewitt has managed to win all four European Cup competitions at least once . Two clubs have so far managed to win a European Cup three times in a row, a so-called hat trick : FC Barcelona even triumphed five times in a row between 1996 and 2000 in the European Cup Winners 'Cup, FC Barcelona won the European Cup Winners' Cup from 1984 to 1986 and the EHF Challenge Cup UCM Sport Reșița from Romania from 2007 to 2009.
